Thanks to a $10 million gift from a retired Raymond James Financial executive, another University of South Florida business school has a new name. The Great Society

Fifty years ago, President Lyndon B. Johnson unveiled “The Great Society,” a number of programs designed to reduce poverty and racial injustice in America. The University of South Florida St. Petersburg Department of History and Politics is holding a discussion series that looks not only at the effects “The Great Society” has had on Florida and the nation over the last half a century, but also the possible impact it might have in the future.
